Centro Legal de la Raza is a nonprofit based in Oakland, CA that helps connect low-income immigrants facing removal proceedings with pro-bono legal representation. Centro also is involved with political advocacy and runs an immigration hotline where ICE activity is tracked and immigrants in need can receive legal representation and resources. Learn more here

Community Initiatives for Visiting Immigrants in Confinement (CIVIC)

CIVIC is a San Francisco-based, national organization that visits and monitors 43 immigration detention facilities to gather data and stories to challenge the treatment of individual people and the system-wide injustice in immigration detention.
